  • I. Equipment Overview Rotary kiln, also known as rotary calcining kiln, is divided into laboratory small rotary tube furnace and industrial continuous rotary kiln. This introduction introduces external thermal electric heating continuous rotary kiln. The core is inclined rotatable 310S stainless steel furnace barrel. The powder/particulate materials are continuously tumbled and dynamically heat-treated in the barrel. With spiral continuous feeding, it can realize large-scale uninterrupted calcination, reduction, and pyrolysis. It is the main production equipment for new energy lithium battery, powder metallurgy, and chemical new materials. 2. The working principle is that the cylinder body has a small inclination angle, and the frequency conversion motor drives uniform rotation; the material is continuously fed into the cylinder by the screw feeder, and slowly moves forward under the dual action of gravity + rotation, rolls over the whole process, and there is no local accumulation. Radiant heating of multi-zone resistance wires outside the furnace can introduce nitrogen, argon, and hydrogen mixtures to form a closed atmosphere; the materials are sequentially dried, degummed, calcined at high temperatures, slowly cooled, and continuously discharged, and the insulation residence time of the materials is accurately controlled by adjusting the rotation speed and inclination of the cylinder. III. The core structure and configuration of the rotary furnace barrel are made of high-temperature 310S seamless stainless steel, which is resistant to oxidation and acid and alkali corrosion; the cylinder is inclined, and the built-in lifting structure strengthens the material turnover, eliminating lumping, sandwiching and overburning. The screw continuous feeding system seals the screw feeding, the single hour production capacity can reach more than 200kg, the feeding is uniform and stable, and 24-hour uninterrupted continuous production can be achieved.   • The furnace is divided into multiple independent temperature zones, resistance wire radiation heating, PID intelligent temperature control, temperature control accuracy ± 1 ℃; double-layer full-fiber insulation shell, low temperature on the outer wall, energy saving and consumption reduction. Frequency conversion drive mechanism variable frequency speed motor, cylinder speed 0.1~5r/min can be adjusted, according to the process to flexibly adjust the residence time of the material; dynamic sealing structure is used at both ends to lock the atmosphere and prevent gas leakage. The atmosphere and tail gas system are matched with a high-precision gas mass flow meter, which can pass through inert/reducing gases; there is a tail gas collection and combustion treatment device, which is environmentally friendly and up to standard. The touch screen of the automatic PLC control system is centrally controlled, storing multiple sets of calcination curves, automatically recording the temperature, speed, and atmospheric flow, and over-temperature, air outage, and overload acousto-optic interlock protection. IV. The advantages of the core products are dynamically rolled over, the extremely uniform material reaction is constantly turned over, the powder is heated, and the atmosphere is fully contacted, which completely solves the problems of clumping, sandwiching, and chromatic aberration existing in the sintering of static boxes and bowls, and the consistency of the products is greatly improved. Continuous large production capacity, high production efficiency, automatic spiral feeding and discharging, no need for frequent manual loading, and the daily processing capacity of a single unit is much higher than that of box-type and tube-type batch furnaces, which greatly reduces labor costs. The multi-temperature zone is segmented and precisely controlled. The temperature rise, constant temperature, and cooling are independently adjusted in each zone, which is suitable for the entire long process of precursor dehydration, high-temperature crystallization, and slow cooling. The atmosphere is sealed and the two ends are sealed dynamically, which can maintain a low oxygen reduction environment in the furnace.
